Rawalpindi: The APNA Foundation, under the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APNA), has inaugurated a modern Maternal and Child Health Clinic in Chakwal to provide quality healthcare to women and children in the region and surrounding areas.
The ceremony was led by APNA President Dr Hamira Qamar as the chief guest, with attendance from prominent doctors, professors, and social figures.
Prof Jameel Akhtar, Secretary APNA Foundation, in his address highlighted the clinic’s aim to improve maternal and child health outcomes and offer much-needed relief to the local population.
A formal dinner followed in the evening, attended by former Punjab Health Minister Dr Jamal Nasir, APNA President Professor Rao Babar, Vice Chancellor Rawalpindi Medical University Professor Muhammad Umar, and other dignitaries.
Guests praised Prof Rao Babar’s leadership and APNA’s ongoing philanthropic contributions to Pakistan’s healthcare, education, and welfare sectors.
