Islamabad: Minister of State for Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik, on Tuesday highlighted the detail of facilities available to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder in jail, saying he was provided books, newspapers and television, along with exercise equipment.
Speaking to a private television channel, he rejected rumours that the PTI founder was being kept in ‘solitary confinement.’
He said founder was being kept separate from other prisoners due to his status and for security reasons.
He further said that meetings with family members including his sisters and wife had been taking place and that even he was spoken to his sons.
Responding to a question about the creation of new provinces, the minister said that every political party had its own point of view on the issue.
