Rawalpindi: Freedom of Kashmir is the right of Kashmiris whose struggle has been going on for decades. The Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers in this struggle and this fight will continue till the freedom of Kashmir.

These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi while leading a rally which was organized by Punjab Arts Council (PAC) Murree on Kashmir Solidarity Day.

A documentary based on the brutal atrocities committed by the Indian army on Kashmiris was also screened in the auditorium of the Arts Council.

Chief Traffic Officer Murree Mughees Ahmed Hashmi, District Police Officer Asif Amin Awan, Regional Manager Tourism Department Moazzam Nazir, Principal Government High School, Atta ur Rehman, Deputy District Education Officer Muhammad Amin Leghari, Chairman Anjuman Tajiran, Mirza Sohail Baig, Vice President Anjuman Tajiran, Zahid Ismail, Munir Abbasi, Tufail Abbasi also attended the ceremony besides a large number of media personnel and families participated.

Faisalabad: Preparations for the upcoming National Horse and Cattle Show 2025 are in the final stage to hold this mega event in a most befitting manner.

In this connection, Director Livestock Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr has visited Kapoori Center, Research and Development (Rakh Khaire Wala) while Dr. Atta Subhani Assistant Director Headquarters, Dr. Muhammad Tariq Gudara Additional Director Livestock District Layyah, Dr. Muhammad Ibraheem Deputy Director Livestock Tehsil Chobara, Dr. Umar Farooq Deputy Director R and D Rakh Khaire Wala and Dr. Ikram Ullah Veterinary Officer RCCIB Jhang were also present on the occasion.

During visit, the officers inspected and gave final approval for the animals selected for cavalcade of the event.

The chosen animals included male and female livestock of Nachi breed and Daira Din Pannah breed.

The officers highlighted the importance of proper grooming and beautification of these animals to ensure their appearance in top form at the show.

Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr directed the Deputy Director R and D Rakh Khaire Wala to supervise condition of the selected animals and enhance their appearance to showcase them at their best.

He said that National Horse and Cattle Show 2025 was expected to highlight Pakistan’s rich livestock heritage as various breeds and livestock competitions were included in this show.

This sow would provide a major platform for promoting livestock farming, genetic research and rural development by attracting a large number of local and international participants. Hence, all necessary preparations should be completed efficiently to make the show a grand success, he added.

Chichawatni: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Sahiwal, Shahid Mahmood here on Tuesday visited Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ) to review healthcare facilities and administrative affairs.

He visited various wards of the hospital and checked facilities which were being provided to the patients there.

The hospital’s administration briefed the DC about the healthcare facilities.

He also listened complaints of the patients and directed the concerned authorities to resolve them on priority.

Khanewal: A comprehensive emergency plan was proposed for the expansion of the emergency ward and enhancement of service delivery at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab.

The plan was discussed in a meeting organized by the health department here on Tuesday.

The meeting was jointly chaired by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Communication and Works, Rana Mohammed Salim Hanif and Deputy Commissioner, Salma Sulaiman. CEO Health, Dr. Abrar Iqbal and Ms. Amara provided a briefing during the District Health Council session.

The Deputy Commissioner called for a detailed report on the proposed expansion and service improvements at the hospital.She also directed officials to review and revamp the construction materials being used at the initial stages of the project.

Rana Mohammed Salim Hanif emphasized that the Chief Minister was prioritizing the improvement of healthcare facilities.

He reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy for negligence in public hospitals and assured strict monitoring of health departments. He also stressed that doctors played a crucial role in maintaining discipline and ensuring quality healthcare services within the hospital.

The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring high standards in public health services through rigorous oversight and strategic development initiatives.

Faisalabad: Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) has marked Kashmir Solidarity Day by organizing a series of events in collaboration with Directorate of Student Affairs and various academic departments.

GCWUF spokesperson said here on Tuesday that the activities were arranged to express unwavering support for the people of Kashmir in addition to raising awareness about their ongoing struggle for self-determination.

The Kashmir Day activities commenced with a solidarity walk led by GCWUF Vice Chancellor(VC),Prof Dr. Kanwal Ameen.

Department of Humanities GCWUF sponsored the walk in which a large number of students,faculty members and administrative staff participated to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Department of International Relations and Political Science GCWUF presented cultural displays to highlight different facets of Kashmiri culture and heritage while Department of Nutritional Sciences set up traditional food stalls offering authentic Kashmiri cuisine including Kashmiri tea and other delicacies.

Department of Art and Design arranged an exhibition of posters and paintings which depicted Kashmir’s historical and contemporary struggle for freedom.

Meanwhile,GCWUF Library set up a dedicated stall to showcase Kashmiri literature and historical records in addition to provide valuable insights into the region’s rich cultural and political legacy.

Speaking on the spot,GCWUF Vice Chancellor(VC),Dr.Kanwal Ameen said that the university organized a series of events to honor the resilience of Kashmiri people in addition to fostering a deeper understanding among students regarding the significance of Kashmir issue.

Such events played a vital role in educating young minds about the historical and political context of Kashmir’s struggle,she concluded.
