QUETTA: Like Jafarabad across the country, a grand ceremony was organized in Dera Allah Yar area of Balochistan on the occasion of World Population Day on Friday.
Addressing at the ceremony as Chief guest, Assistant Commissioner Dera Allah Yar Fahad Cheema said that parents should make it mandatory for them to give birth to their children at least two years apart.
It has a great effect on the health of mother and child, in today’s modern era, there are family planning centers in every area where you can get useful advice regarding child bearing, he said.
Earlier, the District Population Welfare Officer presented Sindh cultural awards and flower garlands to the guests who came to the function.
The ceremony was attended by concerned officials and a large number of people. MS Dera Allah-yar Dr Akbar Khosa said that mothers who would not take a break during the birth of their children suffer from anemia as well as physical weakness.

other and child healthy, he said. MS Dr Akbar Khosa further said that the mother should start breastfeeding her baby within half an hour after the birth of the baby, breast milk contains all those ingredients.
Speaking at the event, District Officer Population Welfare Abdul-Tif Jafar said that that more programs were under consideration to provide facilities in family planning centers in all areas of District Jafarabad, Suhabatpur and District Usta Muhammad.
In the end, he thanked all the guests who participated in the event. Dr Iram Taj Musrat Habib Rizwana Jamali and Sajida Jamali and others also addressed the ceremony.
