Chiniot DC orders swift completion of Lahore road upgrade, crackdown on encroachments

Chiniot: Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Thursday reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation of Lahore Road, directing officials to complete the tuff tile installation within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with approved quality standards to improve travel and pedestrian facilities for residents.



During the inspection, the deputy commissioner, accompanied by Municipal Committee Administrator Wasiq Abbas Haral, Exxon Highways Muhammad Ahmed, Chief Officer Muhammad Arif, Manager Suthra Punjab Muhammad Hamza and other officials, assessed the progress of development works, sanitation measures and the provision of civic amenities along the road.



Emphasising strict oversight of the project, Ayesha Rizwan said no negligence or obstruction would be tolerated during the execution of the scheme. She instructed the relevant departments to remove encroachments in front of shops without delay to ensure uninterrupted progress of the construction work.



The deputy commissioner also called for further improvement in cleanliness arrangements, saying that city beautification, enhanced municipal services and the provision of a clean environment remain among the district administration’s top priorities.
