District

Chiniot: Chiniot District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Naveed Atif held an open court at Jamia Masjid Sardaran on Iqbal-Lahore Road after Friday prayers to listen to citizens’ grievances and ensure their timely resolution under the community policing initiative.

Police personnel from City Police Station, the Complaint Cell in-charge and other officials attended the session. The DPO listened to citizens’ complaints and assured them that necessary measures would be taken to address their concerns. He also briefed participants on public-friendly police services and ongoing efforts to improve service delivery.

Dr Naveed Atif observed that listening to people’s problems at a mosque was in line with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He urged citizens to report social and moral evils, as well as criminal activities, to help police take timely action. He added that all available resources were being utilised to provide better policing and improve public services.

According to a police spokesperson, citizens can share their complaints, concerns or information about criminal elements by contacting the police helpline at 0370-4022020.
