Malakand:On the instructions of Director Civil Defence Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Deputy Commissioner Malakand Muhammad Fayaz Khan Sherpao, the Civil Defence team on Wednesday conducted inspections of fire safety and security arrangements at various locations across the district.
During the inspections, fire extinguishers, gas and electrical installations and other emergency safety measures were examined. The concerned persons were directed to strictly comply with prescribed safety protocols and ensure the availability and proper functioning of fire safety equipment.
As part of the awareness initiative, the Civil Defence team also conducted basic training for students at Government High School Matkani.
The session covered fire safety, first aid, emergency response measures, evacuation procedures and basic rescue techniques. The officials emphasised the importance of safety awareness and preparedness, particularly among students, to help minimise risks and ensure an effective response during emergencies.
