Faisalabad:A Commissioner Facilitation Desk has been established at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) to facilitate the business community by following up on the approval processes for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from various departments and ensuring their timely delivery without delay.
The launch ceremony for the desk was held in the Commissioner Office’s committee room under the chair of Commissioner Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh here on Thursday.
FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, Afifa Shajiya from the Punjab Revenue Authority, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and officers from the Labor Department, Environmental Protection Agency, Social Security, Industries, Municipal Corporation, and other departments, alongside members of the business community participated in the ceremony.
The Commissioner said that the staff from the Commissioner’s Office would man the desk in two shifts.
He said that the business community should inform the desk after applying for an NOC, after which the Commissioner’s Office would follow up on the processing stages.
He said that unnecessary delays in the issuance of NOCs would not be tolerated.
The Commissioner said that a procedure is being formulated for departmental inspections of industrial units, and enforcement departments will be assigned specific times for inspections to ensure that business activities are not disrupted throughout the day.
He affirmed that providing a friendly business environment for traders and industrialists is the top priority.
The President and other members of various associations thanked the Commissioner for establishing the ‘Facilitation Desk’, noting that a long-standing demand had finally been met.
They remarked that they would no longer need to make rounds of various departments to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and assured the administration of their full cooperation.
