Hyderabad: Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi paid an official visit to Sindh Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (SIOVS), Hyderabad, where he reviewed the facilities and services of this prominent tertiary eye care hospital. During the visit.
The Commissioner inspected the Outpatient Department (OPD), Diagnostic Laboratory, Operation Theatre (OT) Complex, Paediatric Ophthalmology Section, General Ophthalmology Department and patient wards.
They were given a detailed briefing on the hospital’s infrastructure, medical capabilities and patient care system. On this occasion, Executive Director Prof Dr Khalid Iqbal Talpur gave a comprehensive presentation on the overall performance of SIOVS, its notable achievements and its role as a leading tertiary eye care institution in the region.
Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi expressed satisfaction with the facilities and services of the hospital and appreciated the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the SIOVS team.
He said that institutions like SIOVS are playing a very important role in the prevention of blindness and promotion of public health and assured the hospital administration of his full support to further strengthen the health services. Assistant Commissioner Hyderabad Syed Noor Hussain, along with senior faculty members and administrative staff, were also present on the occasion.
