Bahawalpur: Under the Healthy Punjab vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, measures are being taken to provide citizens with quality and improved healthcare facilities.
In this connection, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia visited Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi Hospital and reviewed medical facilities, availability of medicines and treatment arrangements for patients. The Commissioner visited patients undergoing treatment at the hospital and inquired about their health. He also spoke to patients and their attendants to obtain feedback about treatment facilities, availability of medicines and the quality of medical services being provided.
He reviewed the availability and timely provision of medicines to patients and inspected various departments, wards, the Emergency Department and the operation theatre. He also assessed the medical facilities, treatment arrangements and equipment available at these units. The Commissioner inspected cleanliness arrangements at the hospital and directed the relevant authorities to further improve hygiene standards and ensure a clean environment for patients and visitors.
Irfan Ali Kathia directed the hospital administration to ensure the availability of medicines, essential medical facilities and timely medical assistance to patients under all circumstances. He said providing better healthcare services to patients and maintaining high standards of public health facilities at the hospital should remain a top priority.
