Sukkur: Divisional Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi on Monday, visited the Civil Hospital Sukkur and met with Medical Superintendent Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon to review the hospital’s services.
The visit was attended by Assistant Medical Superintendent Dr Zahid Malik, Principal of Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur Dr Saleh Muhammad Channa, Deputy Director Planning and Development Civil Hospital Raza Hussain and others.
During the visit, Commissioner Sukkur inquired about the attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, the provision of medicines, cleanliness, and other treatment-related matters. The hospital administration informed him that the hospital’s affairs are gradually improving.
Dr Ahmad Mujtaba, Medical Superintendent, informed that the hospital’s oxygen generation plant, funded by a philanthropist through Commissioner Sukkur, has been activated, providing free oxygen facilities to needy patients.
He also stated that the removal of encroachments has eased access for patients and ambulances.
Commissioner Qureshi emphasized the importance of collective ownership of institutions to provide better public facilities. He expressed confidence that the hospital’s good team would lead to further improvements.
The Commissioner also visited the hospital’s Oxygen Generation Plant and reviewed its operational procedures.
