Community converts govt school to solar power

Layyah: Residents of the area have set a remarkable example of community service and commitment to education by converting Government School Chak No. 339 TDA, Layyah, to solar energy through a self-help initiative.



According to school sources, a modern 15-kilowatt solar power system has been installed with the support of prominent social and business figure Chaudhry Aftab Iqbal and other philanthropists. In addition, two air conditioners have been donated for the comfort of students and teachers.



The inauguration ceremony was attended by local residents, teachers, dignitaries and social personalities, who termed the initiative a significant milestone in promoting education and encouraging the efficient use of renewable energy.



Speakers said such welfare initiatives not only help meet the needs of government educational institutions but also strengthen the spirit of cooperation, public service and support for education in society.



The local community paid tribute to all philanthropists who contributed to the project, particularly Chaudhry Aftab Iqbal, and expressed the hope that more well-off individuals would come forward to play a similar role in improving educational institutions.
