Lahore: A local court on Wednesday granted police a three-day physical remand of accused Muskan in a case involving the alleged gang rape of a foreign woman.
Police produced Muskan before Judicial Magistrate Azhar Mahmood in Cantonment Kachehri under tight security and requested for her physical remand.
The prosecutor submitted that it was Muskan’s first physical remand and requested that she be handed over to police custody for investigation.
Muskan’s counsel opposed the request, arguing that his client’s relationship with foreign woman was limited to friendship. He said the sections relating to murder and robbery did not justify her physical remand and maintained that nothing had to be recovered from her.
During the hearing, the court asked Muskan whether she wanted to undergo a medical examination. She replied in the negative and said she did not want a medical examination.
Defence C police had registered a case against Muskan and other accused over alleged gang rape of a foreign woman.
