Rawalpindi: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi sentenced convict Sanaullah to death after completing the trial in a murder case registered at Ratta Amral Police Station, while directing him to pay Rs1million in compensation to the victim’s legal heirs.
The police had registered the murder case on the complaint of the victim’s cousin stating that Sanaullah fatally stabbed Ahmad Raza following a minor verbal argument.
Delivering the final verdict upon trial completion, the Judge Afshan Ijaz Sufi ordered the death penalty directing that in case of non-payment of the Rs. 1.0 compensation, the amount shall be recovered through the attachment and sale of his property.
