Rawalpindi: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam has taken notice of a video showing a vehicle dragging a motorcyclist on Murree Road and ordered the registration of a case against those responsible.
The video went viral on social media, showing a black vehicle that, after hitting a bike, kept dragging it to a certain distance as the motorcyclist managed to climb the vehicle’s bonnet to save his life. The video prompted the city traffic authorities to take notice.
The CTO directed the Murree Road Circle In-charge to register a case over the dangerous act.
Police are using all available technical resources to identify the vehicle and its driver, according to an official.
‘Driving in a manner that endangers the lives of others is a crime, and such elements will be dealt with strictly,’ CTO Farhan Aslam said.
He urged citizens to report any traffic violations or other breaches of law to the police, assuring that legal action would be taken against those found responsible.
