Mirpur: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Iftikhar Gilani on Monday directed the authorities to ensure full implementation of the government’s 100-day plan, improve public service delivery and resolve people’s grievances without unnecessary delays.
Chairing a meeting in Bhimber district along with AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, the prime minister reviewed the performance of key departments, including education, health, electricity and roads. He said providing relief to the people and resolving their problems at their doorstep were among the government’s top priorities.
Prime Minister Gilani directed government officers to keep public offices accessible, treat visitors courteously and address genuine complaints on a priority basis. He cautioned against unnecessary hurdles and delays, stressing that government institutions must improve their performance and ensure that the benefits of public welfare initiatives reach the people directly.
The prime minister said good governance, institutional efficiency, quality public facilities and effective service delivery were key priorities of the government. He urged the administrative machinery to play its full role in implementing government policies and the public welfare agenda. The officers concerned also briefed him on ongoing development projects, following which he directed the authorities to ensure their timely completion, resolve public issues and make effective use of available resources.
