Daily public meetings continue: DC reviews citizens’ complaints, issues orders


Islamabad: Under a daily public outreach system, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon continued meeting citizens before starting routine official work, ensuring that public complaints and requests are heard directly and addressed without delay.



The initiative included daily meetings, immediate directions to relevant departments, and follow-up phone calls to citizens



to gather feedback on the actions taken, said the spokesman of ICT administration here.



In this regard, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Memon has continued his open-door policy by meeting citizens on a daily basis before beginning official duties. The initiative was aimed at providing direct access to the district administration and ensuring that public concerns receive timely attention.



During these meetings, citizens are given the opportunity to present complaints, service-related issues, and administrative matters directly to the deputy commissioner. Upon receiving information about a problem, the deputy commissioner issued instructions on the spot to the concerned officials for prompt action.



According to the district administration, the open-door policy was designed to make government offices more accessible and to ensure that citizens could reach senior officials without unnecessary barriers. Members of the public were encouraged to visit the deputy commissioner’s office or other administrative offices during working hours without requiring any reference or recommendation.



Officials said the initiative reflects the administration’s focus on direct public engagement and quick resolution of issues raised by residents. Citizens were invited to make use of this facility and bring their concerns to the attention of the relevant authorities through direct interaction with district administration offices.
