North waziristan: Two people, reportedly a father and his son, were killed while a child sustained injuries in a firing incident in the Tehsil Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, on Thursday, according to police sources quoted by tv channels.
According to initial reports, unidentified assailants opened fire on the victims, killing the father and son on the spot. A child was also injured in the attack. Following the incident, a police team reached the scene and shifted the bodies and the injured child to a nearby hospital.
Police have launched a search operation in the area to trace and apprehend the attackers. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
