Sialkot: Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Awais Mushtaq has announced the establishment of a help desk at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate industrialists in resolving business-related issues, obtaining NOCs and coordinating with provincial departments through a one-window operation.
Addressing the chamber’s executive body meeting, he said the help desk would ensure timely resolution of complaints, reduce paperwork and facilitate the establishment of new industrial units. Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Sault Hayat Watto would serve as the focal person for coordination between the administration and business community.
He said relevant departments would conduct joint inspections to avoid repeated visits to industrial units, while a QR code-based system was being developed to maintain inspection records.
The deputy commissioner also announced phased measures to improve traffic flow at 15 major intersections and congested points in the city, including improvements in lane design and U-turns.
Chamber President Khawar Hussain Sial and other office-bearers highlighted issues faced by the business community. The deputy commissioner reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to promoting ease of doing business and strengthening industrial and commercial activities in Sialkot.
