Bahawalpur: Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza visited Canal View Park near the airport and inspected the ongoing development, renovation and beautification works. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the installation of safety grills along the canal and directed the concerned officers to expedite the replacement of damaged Tuff Tiles and completion of the safety grill installation. He directed that all ongoing works aimed at making Canal View Park safer, more attractive and aesthetically pleasing should be completed according to the prescribed quality standards. He also stressed the need for improved cleanliness arrangements and proper trimming and pruning of plants and trees as part of the park’s beautification.
Syed Hassan Raza said all necessary measures should be taken to maintain a clean, green and pleasant environment at the park so that citizens could enjoy quality and healthy recreational facilities. He directed the concerned authorities to complete all development and beautification works within the stipulated timeframe and finalize arrangements to open the park to the public at the earliest as a high-quality recreational facility. The Deputy Commissioner said the improved beauty and environment of Canal View Park would not only provide better recreational opportunities to local residents but also create a positive and pleasant impression of Bahawalpur among visitors coming from other cities.
