Kohat: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, on Wednesday participated in Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat’s live broadcast program “Awami Rabita” to directly address public grievances and assure prompt administrative action.
During the radio program, citizens called in to highlight various civic issues, including development projects, law and order, electricity and gas load shedding, facilities in hospitals and educational institutions, anti-encroachment drives, and traffic management.
Addressing the callers, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir stated that the district administration remains in constant coordination with relevant departments to resolve public problems on a priority basis. He issued directives to ensure high quality and swift progress on all ongoing development initiatives across the district.
Reiterating a strict stance on illegal structures, Nawaz Wazir emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against encroachments. He directed authorities to take legal action and maintain continuous vigilance to keep public pathways and roads clear.
Regarding the regulation of daily essentials, the DC informed listeners that price checks are conducted daily across markets to deter profiteering, hoarding, and overcharging, ensuring basic commodities remain available at official rates.
He highlighted that health, education, infrastructure, and law and order in close collaboration with Kohat Police, remain top administrative priorities. Reminding the public that his office doors remain open during working hours, he encouraged citizens to lodge complaints through official forums for timely redressal.
