Bahawalpur: Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza visited the beautifully calligraphy-adorned waterfall near Saraiki Chowk and the Ladies Park at Saraiki Chowk to review the ongoing beautification and renovation work. Director Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Imran Rafiq accompanied him during the visit.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the beautification project at the Saraiki Chowk waterfall, appreciating the modern calligraphy, aesthetic design, and overall decorative work. He remarked that such initiatives are significantly enhancing the visual appeal of the city and contributing to a more pleasant urban environment.
During his visit to the Ladies Park at Saraiki Chowk, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the available facilities, cleanliness arrangements, and renovation work. He directed the concerned officers to ensure the provision of quality recreational facilities so that citizens, especially women and families, can enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza praised the performance of PHA Director Imran Rafiq and commended him for timely planning and effective implementation of projects. He stated that the efforts of the PHA are playing a vital role in enhancing the beauty of Bahawalpur and that the district administration is taking practical steps to further improve the urban landscape, which are yielding positive results.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that these initiatives would not only add to the beauty of Bahawalpur but would also provide better recreational and social spaces for citizens. He added that preparations are underway to construct modern-style monuments at various locations in the city, which will further highlight Bahawalpur’s historical and cultural identity. Citizens have widely appreciated the Deputy Commissioner’s personal interest, close monitoring, and cooperation in these projects.
