Tank:Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan has underlined the need for taking further steps to ensure improved services for citizens across the district.
He was chairing a meeting to review the performance of government departments and the quality of public service delivery in the district.
The meeting was attended by the District Health Officer (DHO), male and female education officials and representatives of other relevant departments.
Officials briefed the meeting on departmental performance, facilities being provided to citizens and measures being taken to improve service delivery.
He directed all concerned departments to ensure timely resolution of public grievances and take practical steps to improve the provision of basic facilities.
Jamshed Khan said that negligence in key public services, particularly education, health and sanitation, would not be tolerated.
He directed officers to perform their duties with efficiency, responsibility and a strong focus on addressing the problems faced by the public.
The deputy commissioner also called for stronger coordination among government departments and stressed regular follow-up to ensure that public complaints were resolved promptly and effectively.
