Dengue count reaches 46, surveillance destroyed over 212,000 larval sites

Rawalpindi:Four new confirmed dengue cases were registered in Rawalpindi over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed infections to 46, according to the latest data released by the District Health Authority on Wednesday..



A comparative evaluation of surveillance figures against previous daily reports shows that total hospital screenings reached 5,271, while admitted patients in district medical facilities held steady at 12, including eight confirmed dengue cases and four suspected cases.



Health authorities confirmed that zero dengue-related fatalities have occurred in the district this year, with 13 of the total 46 cases detected during October.



Severe larval concentrations were reported across Chaklala Cantonment, Takhat Pari, Rawalpindi Cantonment, Dhoke Naju, Dhoke Babu Irfan, Ratta Amral and Hazara Colony. Administrative enforcement remained unchanged at 2,798 FIRs, 686 sealed premises, 2,331 challans and Rs.3.156 million in total fines.
