Dera ismail khan: The district police have tightened noose around drug dealers, arresting two suspects here on Monday.
According to police spokesman the police also recovered a large quantity of narcotics during the operation.
He said a total of 46 liters of liquor and 675 grams of ice (crystal meth) were recovered during the operation which was conducted under the supervision of District Police Officer(DPO), Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada.
He said Cantt Police Station, under the leadership of SDPO City Circle Muhammad Adnan, conducted an operation during a checkpoint.
The police team, comprising SHO Arslan Khan Gundapur and Sub-Inspector Malik Imran Mudhal, arrested Rahmatullah alias Bona, a resident of Wanda Mochianwala, and recovered 14 liters of liquor from his possession.
Another accused, Shujaatullah alias Shaji a resident of Grid Road, was also arrested, and 30 liters of liquor along with 675 grams of ice were recovered from his possession.
Both suspects were taken into custody and cases have been registered against them, while further investigation is underway.
He said that the crackdown against narcotics would continue in the future to eliminate this menace from society.
