DHO vows to improve performance of hospitals across Abbottabad district

Abbottabad: District Health Officer (DHO) Abbottabad Dr Shehzad Iqbal Awan has said that all possible measures would be taken to improve the performance of hospitals across the district, including Type-D Hospital Havelian.



Talking to Medical Superintendent Type-D Hospital Havelian Dr Bakhtawar Khan and DMS Dr Salman Umar during a meeting, the DHO said efforts would also be made to ensure healthcare facilities in remote areas of the district.



Dr Shehzad said matters relating to the upgradation of Type-D Hospital Havelian were currently with the provincial government, adding that the district health department would take all possible steps to improve hospital performance in line with the facilities being provided by the provincial government.



On the occasion, Dr Bakhtawar Khan congratulated the newly appointed DHO and assured him of his full cooperation. He also briefed the DHO about the performance and issues being faced by Type-D Hospital Havelian.



Dr Shehzad assured the hospital administration that the issues would be taken up at the appropriate forum and efforts would continue to improve healthcare services across the district.
