Quetta: The Balochistan Health Department has made the dialysis centre in Ziarat district operational under the Chief Minister’s Initiatives, provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar announced on Saturday.
The minister said that a total of 28 dialysis centres have already been established across Balochistan to provide treatment facilities for patients suffering from kidney diseases. He added that by the end of the current year, dialysis centres in the remaining districts will also be set up and made functional.
‘The establishment of dialysis centres aims to provide patients with treatment facilities within their own districts, eliminating the need to travel long distances to major cities,’ Bakht Kakar added. He emphasized that the newly activated centre in Ziarat is already providing dialysis services along with other essential medical facilities.
Highlighting the government’s commitment, the minister said that the process of establishing and activating dialysis centres in other districts of Balochistan is ongoing. ‘Ensuring healthcare facilities in remote areas will enable patients to access timely treatment at the local level,’ he remarked.
