DIG Makran inspects under-construction Safe City Project, District Courts Gwadar

Quetta: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Makran Range Shadaban Masih on Friday visited the under-construction Safe City Project Gwadar and District Courts Gwadar and made its detailed inspection to further strengthen public safety, rule of law and institutional security.



On this occasion, he was briefed on the project’s progress, the modern surveillance system to be installed, command and control facilities and the overall security structure.



The DIG emphasized that completing the Safe City Project would further improve the law and order situation in Gwadar city to help prevent crime and ensure a safe environment for citizens saying that the project could also play an important role in enhancing efficiency through modern technology.



Later, he visited the District Courts, Gwadar where a detailed review of the security arrangements implemented in the court premises was conducted. He also inspected entry and exit routes, security checking system, performance of deployed personnel and arrangements made for public convenience. On this occasion, various issues related to making court security more effective were also discussed.



During the visit, the DIG met with the District and Sessions Judge Gwadar and reviewed various issues related to judicial affairs, security measures and promotion of the rule of law, in addition to the pending cases of the police and the investigation system.



It was agreed in the meeting that a safe and peaceful environment of judicial institutions is indispensable for the timely delivery of justice, while effective communication and cooperation between the relevant institutions would be helpful in further strengthening public confidence.



At the end of the visit, DIG Makran Range Shadaban Masih reiterated the commitment that full cooperation would continue with all relevant institutions to further improve security, judicial protection and modern citizen surveillance systems in Gwadar so that a safe, peaceful and law-friendly environment could be provided to the citizens.
