Islamabad: The Islamabad district administration continued its inspection drive in federal healthcare facilities, carrying out visits to five hospitals to review cleanliness standards, dengue prevention measures, and the availability of oxygen and medicines.
In this regard, Assistant Commissioner City inspected Polyclinic Hospital and CDA Hospital, while Assistant Commissioner I-9 visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Assistant Commissioner Potohar conducted an inspection of a well-known hospital in the area, and Assistant Commissioner Secretariat visited Akbar Niazi Hospital.
During the inspections, the assistant commissioners reviewed cleanliness arrangements and checked the implementation of dengue standard operating procedures (SOPs) in different sections of the hospitals. The visits were aimed at ensuring that healthcare facilities were maintaining required hygiene measures and following guidelines related to dengue prevention.
The inspection teams also examined the process for the supply of oxygen and medicines. Officials reviewed stock levels and assessed storage arrangements to ensure that hospitals had adequate supplies available for patients.
Assistant commissioners checked oxygen reserves and medicine inventories during their visits and received briefings from hospital management regarding the availability and distribution of essential medical supplies.
According to the district administration, hospitals are continuing to maintain an uninterrupted supply of oxygen and medicines. The administration said regular inspections are being conducted to monitor healthcare facilities and ensure that necessary services and supplies remain available without disruption.
The inspection campaign is part of the district administration’s ongoing monitoring efforts at federal hospitals across the capital, focusing on healthcare standards, dengue prevention measures, and the availability of essential medical resources.
