Rawalpindi: Police have arrested a domestic worker, along with her husband and an accomplice for stealing gold jewelry from a house four months ago in the jurisdiction of Morgah police station.
The police also recovered Rs 4 million rupees from the sale of the stolen jewelry.
According to police spokesperson, the accused entered the house under the pretext of doing household chores and falsely introduced herself with a fake name to the property owner. After stealing the gold jewelry, the domestic worker went into hiding.
Morgah Police, utilizing technical and human intelligence resources, managed to track down and arrest the domestic worker, her husband, and an accomplice.
Police now are conducting raids to arrest other facilitators involved in the crime.
SP Potohar, Talha Wali commended police team for their swift action, he emphasized the importance of registering domestic workers, stating that individuals who attack citizens and their property will not escape the law.
