DPO inspects riverine post to review security arrangements


Dera ghazi khan: District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ghazi Khan visited the riverine check post at Dari Mero to review security arrangements and operational preparedness aimed at maintaining law and order in the riverine belt.



During the visit, the DPO inspected security measures, deployment of personnel, weapons and the checking system at the checkpoint. He also met officers and officials posted there and directed them to ensure effective monitoring of people and boats using the water routes.



He stressed that indiscriminate action should continue against criminals, smugglers and other suspicious elements, while directing personnel to remain vigilant and perform their duties with utmost professionalism.



He also inspected the facilities and defensive arrangements at the check post and issued necessary instructions to the officers concerned for further improvement.



The DPO said maintaining peace in the riverine areas, eliminating crime and protecting the lives and property of citizens remained the top priorities of DG Khan police.



Meanwhile, DPO also paid a surprise visit to Drahma police station where he checked record, evaluated the performance of officials, checked arms store where he inspected weapons for assessment on their upkeep.



He also visited front desk and the lock-up where he checked the online record, process of record updating and ordered officials to deal with complainants politely and the accused as per law while taking all security related measures.



He ordered police to perform duty honestly and with dedication to protect the life and property of citizens and go against the criminals.
