Khanewal: District Police Officer (DPO) Khanewal Ismail Kharrak took serious notice of an incident involving the escape of a suspect from police custody at Makhdoom Pur Police Station. According to police sources, a case No 14/26 has been registered at Makhdoom Pur Police Station against the police officials found involved in the incident. On the directives of the DPO, DSP Sadar Circle Khalid Joiya has constituted special teams to trace and arrest the escaped suspect, Nasir Hera. Police officials said that efforts are underway to locate the suspect and he will be arrested at the earliest. DPO Ismail Kharrak said that negligence and carelessness in the line of duty will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He added that strict departmental and legal action will be taken against those responsible for the lapse. The DPO reiterated that maintaining public trust and ensuring the rule of law are top priorities of the Khanewal Police, and no compromise will be made on discipline and accountability within the fo
