Tank: District Police Officer (DPO) Tank, Shabbir Hussain Shah, paid a surprise visit to the MT (Mechanical Transport) section at Police Lines Tank on Friday, where he conducted a detailed inspection of official police vehicles.
According to details, the DPO reviewed the fitness, cleanliness, overall condition, maintenance status and proper utilization of government vehicles stationed at the MT section. He examined the vehicles closely to ensure that they were being maintained in accordance with departmental standards.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Shabbir Hussain Shah said that official vehicles are a valuable asset of the police department and their proper upkeep and responsible use have a direct impact on overall police performance. He made it clear that negligence or carelessness in vehicle fitness and maintenance would not be tolerated.
The DPO issued clear instructions to the MT staff to keep all government vehicles in complete roadworthy condition at all times, ensure regular servicing and maintenance, and pay special attention to cleanliness.
He also directed that logbooks must be properly and accurately maintained and that complete transparency be ensured in fuel consumption.
Emphasizing the responsible use of public resources, DPO Tank said that efficient and organized utilization of government assets is a core responsibility of the police department, on which no compromise would be made.
He further expressed his resolve to continue such inspections in the future to further improve the performance of the MT branch and to ensure that police operations and duties are carried out without any hindrance.
