TANK:District Police Officer (DPO) Iftikhar Ali Shah on Sunday visited the home of martyred police constable who was targeted by terrorists while deputed at security of a private bank last Wednesday.
According to a police spokesman, the DPO along with Shaheed Mureed Akbar Police Station SHO Abdul Alee Khan went to the home of Constable Riaz Gul who embraced martyrdom while deputed on security of a private bank on August 23, 2023.
They expressed their heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family and paid homage to the martyrs.
On this occasion, DPO Iftikhar Ali Shah said the police department and the nation was proud of the eternal sacrifices of their martyrs.
He said the sacrifice rendered by Constable Riaz Gul would never go in vain. The martyrs’ sacrifices would never be forgotten as they were guarantors of nation’s bright future.
The DPO said the tank police was using all available resources to bring the killers of martyred Constable Riaz Gul to justice as soon as possible. He said the doors of his office were always open for the families of the martyrs, adding, all kinds of cooperation would be extended to the families of the martyrs.
He said that such cowardly acts could not demoralize the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.
