Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations: Banks, FIs, PSX observing holiday on Wednesday


Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan, all banks and financial institutions as well as Pakistan Stock Exchange will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa-Sallam).



‘The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 (i.e. 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1448 A.H.) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa-Sallam),’ a SBP statement issued here on Tuesday said.



Subsequently, all banks, Micro Finance Banks (MFBs) and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) will also remain closed on Wednesday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa-Sallam).



Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has already announced a holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi. ‘Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi wa-Aalihe wa-Sallam), 12th- Rabi ul Awal,’ PSX, in a Holiday Notice, informed all TRE Certificate holders, staff and others concerned.
