Rawalpindi: Police have arrested eight outlaws during separate operations against the possession of illegal weapons and recovered more than 10 litres of liquor along with weapons and ammunition.
According to police spokesperson on Sunday, the operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of Banni, New Town, Dhamial, Kahuta and Kallar Syedan police stations.
Police have registered separate cases against all of them and further investigation was in progress.
Divisional Superintendents of Police (SPs) said that operations against individuals involved in the possession of narcotics and illegal weapons would continue across the district.
They added that strict action would be taken against those involved in such activities that threaten public safety and law and order.
