Federal govt to consider all options to maintain peace in KP: Amir Muqam

Islamabad

Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Amir Muqam, stated that the federal government will consider all available options to maintain peace and protect public safety in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Speaking to a private TV channel on Tuesday, Muqam said the law and order situation in the province was becoming increasingly serious and was putting the lives and safety of citizens at risk.

The minister said the federal government had made several attempts to engage the current Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led KP government on the deteriorating security situation.

‘The government has tried its best to engage PTI to show some seriousness about the law and order situation in KP,’ he said.

Muqam stressed that all stakeholders should be on same page and condemned the terrorists attacks instead of promoting different narratives. He highlighted the constitutional options to address the situation in KP.
