Federal Ombudsman team inspects Sialkot International Airport


Sialkot: In-charge of the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Gujranwala Malik Mushtaq Ahmad Awan visited the Sialkot International Airport to review passenger services and hear public complaints. During the visit, he met arriving and departing passengers and chaired a meeting attended by representatives of the airport management, Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), Airport Security Force (ASF), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Pakistan Customs, Protector of Emigrants, Passport Office, AirSial, PIA and other relevant departments.



Airport authorities briefed the delegation on passenger facilitation, security arrangements and operational standards, while Customs, FIA and ASF officials highlighted measures for law enforcement, immigration monitoring and multi-layered security.



Malik Mushtaq Ahmad Awan appreciated the airport’s overall management, cleanliness and security, saying that providing quality services to passengers is a shared responsibility of all concerned institutions.



Later, he visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), where he met office-bearers and discussed issues faced by industrialists and exporters. He assured them that the Federal Ombudsman Office would extend all possible cooperation in resolving complaints falling within its jurisdiction.
