Dera ghazi khan: A 22-year-old man was killed while a woman sustained bullet injuries in
a firing incident near Nawan Shehar in Choti Zereen areaof Dera Ghazi Khan. According to Rescue 1122, an ambulance from Choti Zereen Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene after receiving information about the incident.
Rescue officials said that upon arrival, they found Muhammad Khan, son of Ghulam Hussain, 22, with a bullet wound to his face. He had died at the scene. The family refused to have the body shifted to a hospital.
In the same incident, 22-year-old Aqsa Bibi, daughter of Sabir Hussain, sustained a bullet injury to her chest. Rescue personnel provided her with initial medical treatment at the scene before shifting her to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kot Chhutta.
Rescue officials said the incident was also reported to the police control room. The motive behind
the firing could not immediately be ascertained. Police at Choti Zereen Police Station have launched an investigation into the incident.
