LAHORE: At least four people were killed while 1147 injured in 1106 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Of them, 576 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 571 victims with minor injuries were treated on the spot by Rescue Medical Teams. Analysis show that 536 drivers, 44 underage drivers, 164 pedestrians, and 451 passengers were among the victims of road crashes.
Statistics show that 272 road accidents were reported in Lahore which affected 261 people placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 80 in Faisalabad with 87 victims and at third Multan with 76 road accidents and 78 victims. According to the data, 957 motorbikes, 86 auto-rickshaws, 83 motorcars, 25 vans, 15 passenger buses, 23 trucks and 120 other types of auto vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the road accidents.
