Lahore: Police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested four family members allegedly involved in the murder of 18-year-old girl in Sanda area. According to police, Maham (18) was brought to Ganga Ram Hospital in an injured condition on September 26, where she was pronounced dead. The suspects left her body at the hospital and fled. The arrested suspects were identified as the victim’s father, Muhammad Anwar, brothers- Hammad and Hamza, and sister Hina. Police registered a murder case on their own complaint and launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of all the main suspects, the spokesperson said. Investigation revealed that the victim had allegedly been subjected to severe torture with pipes, iron rods and other objects. It also emerged that her sensitive body parts were allegedly burned with hot iron and a knife, the spokesperson said. All main suspects have been arrested, while further investigation into the incident was underway.
