LAHORE:Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Sikh community on the auspicious occasion of 554th birth anniversary of the Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji – founder of the Sikh religion.
Emphasising significance of Guru Nank’s teachings, in a message here on Monday, he said Baba Guru Nanak imparted a universal message of humanity, peace, and harmony.
The Governor underscored the need to promote brotherhood and tolerance. He said that the minorities are enjoying equal rights and freedom in Pakistan in accordance with the constitution and the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He also hailed Punjab government for making excellent arrangements to facilitate the Sikh pilgrims who have arrived here to attend the birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
