Grand Independence Festival held at ACP, CM Sindh also attended event


Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a grand ‘Independence Festival, Music and Qawwali Night’ on the occasion of Independence Day, with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah as the chief guest.



President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Secretary Ejaz Farooqui, members of the Governing Body, Arts Council members and their families attended the event in large numbers.



The festival featured impressive musical performances by renowned singers Imran Javed, Kamran Saggu, Mustafa Baloch, Shahzeb Ali, Shahrukh Abbas, Aroosa Ali, Farhan Ali, Naila Saleem, Ejaz Ali, Newton Lucky, Kamran Jaffri and Bahadur Ali Abro. Renowned qawwals Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad Qawwal further enhanced the celebrations with their energetic performances. The qawwali session was warmly received by the audience, who expressed their appreciation with enthusiastic applause at the Jaun Elia Lawn. A flag-hoisting ceremony and cake-cutting ceremony were also held as part of the Independence Festival, followed by a spectacular fireworks display. President Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed Shah warmly welcomed Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Later, the Chief Minister and the President Arts Council, along with members of the Governing Body, cut the Independence Day cake.
