Lahore: The Horticulture Agency Lahore’s ‘Plants Free Home Delivery’ campaign is successfully continuing across the provincial capital, with 74, 500 plants provided free of cost to citizens during the ongoing monsoon season.
Managing Director Ahmed Usman Javed said that under the ‘Plant for Pakistan’ campaign, 32, 000 citizens had received plants at their doorsteps through the agency’s free home-delivery service.
He said another 42, 500 plants had been distributed among citizens through camps established at key thoroughfares across Lahore.
Thousands of citizens have contacted the Horticulture Agency’s helpline 1399 to obtain free plants, he added.
Ahmed Usman Javed said that maximum plantation was essential for ensuring a safe, green and healthy future for generations to come. He urged citizens to actively participate in plantation activities and contribute to making Lahore a greener city.
