Islamabad:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Saturday rejected reports circulating on social media about the establishment of a Crime Control Department (CCD)-style unit in the federal capital, describing them as baseless and unverified.
According to ICT Police, no such announcement had been made, and reports regarding the establishment of a CCD-style unit in Islamabad were without any confirmed basis.
The police said specialised units were already functioning within Islamabad Police and performing their duties effectively.
ICT Police also urged citizens and social media users to avoid sharing unverified information and refrain from spreading misleading reports.
The police stressed the importance of relying on verified information rather than unconfirmed claims circulating on social media.
