IGP hears grievances of police personnel, orders immediate relief


Lahore: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Monday met police personnel and their family members at the Central Police Office, heard their grievances and directed the relevant officers to resolve their issues on a priority basis.



During the meeting, the IGP issued immediate instructions on a range of service-related, welfare and administrative matters. He directed the DIG Establishment-II to process the transfer request of Lady Constable Shaista Sarfraz, while the Additional IGP was asked to consider the recruitment request of the daughter of late ASI Muhammad Ashraf.



The IGP also instructed the DIG Headquarters to address the attachment request of DSP Abdul Ghaffar and directed the Additional IGP to examine recruitment requests submitted by one assistant sub-inspector and three head constables under the P-Cadre Scheme.



On the request of the widow of martyred ASI Sheesh Ahmad for the allotment of a residential plot, Abdul Kareem directed the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore to provide appropriate relief.



The IGP also issued instructions on several other applications relating to discipline, administration, promotions and the welfare of police employees, reaffirming the department’s commitment to addressing the legitimate concerns of its personnel and their families.
