Peshawar: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed on Friday visited the family of martyred DSP Diyar Khan, praising the officer’s extraordinary courage and reaffirming the police force’s commitment to the welfare of the families of its fallen personnel.
During the visit to the martyr’s residence, the IGP met the bereaved family, offered Fateha for the departed soul and paid tribute to the officer’s supreme sacrifice. Senior police officers accompanied him on the occasion.
Recalling the encounter in Hangu, Zulfiqar Hameed said DSP Diyar Khan had led his team from the frontline during the operation against terrorists and embraced martyrdom while performing his duty.
He said the officer’s bravery reflected the unwavering resolve of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police to confront terrorism despite the risks involved.
The IGP said the sacrifices of police martyrs had strengthened the nation’s resolve against terrorism and would always be remembered with honour.
He added that the force remained determined to eliminate the menace and respond firmly to every act of terrorism.
Extending condolences to the martyr’s family, Zulfiqar Hameed assured them that KP Police would continue to stand by them and ensure their welfare through every possible means.
