Islamabad:Interior Secretary Ahmed Raza Sarwar on Thursday held an important meeting with Director General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and other senior officers to discuss measures for strengthening the country’s response to cyber crime and improving the agency’s capacity.
According to the official the meeting focused on prevention of cyber crime, capacity building and measures to make NCCIA more effective in dealing with emerging cyber threats.
The Interior Secretary described cyber security as a major challenge of the present era and appreciated NCCIA’s role in tackling cyber crime.
He stressed the need to further strengthen the agency’s institutional capacity to effectively respond to changing trends in cyber crime and provide better protection to citizens in the digital space.
The meeting also discussed ways to improve institutional coordination and strengthen NCCIA’s operational capabilities for a more effective response to cyber threats.
