Karachi: An 11-member delegation of the International Police Organization (IPO) Pakistan participated in the fourth IPO Congress 2026 held at the Splendid Conference and Spa Resort in Budva, Montenegro.
The Congress brought together delegates, experts and professionals from the international police, security and emergency-response community, with participants from Italy, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany and Canada, said a news release issued here on Tuesday.
The IPO Pakistan delegation was welcomed by President International Police Organization Prof. Ilija ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬¦½ivotic, who highlighted the importance of developing professional linkages and promoting cooperation among police and security professionals at the international level.
During the event, the delegation exchanged views with international police and security professionals on contemporary security challenges and explored evolving approaches to modern policing, hybrid security threats, emergency response, crisis preparedness, public safety and international cooperation.
The participation also provided the Pakistani delegation an opportunity to share the country’s experience in modern policing, counter-terrorism, security training and capacity building, while strengthening professional relations with international police and security organisations.
The delegation conveyed the message of President IPO Pakistan Section Dr. Maqsood Ahmed to Prof. Ilija ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬¦½ivotic, reaffirming IPO Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening professional relations, international cooperation and institutional collaboration.
Held under the theme ‘Together, Shaping a Safer Tomorrow’, the Congress emphasised collective efforts and international collaboration to promote safer and more resilient communities.
