Lahore: A major initiative to eliminate property boundaries, ownership, fraud and forgery, the issuance of green property certificates has also been started in Lahore. Green Property Certificate, is a green certificate that can be obtained by getting the property documents verified.
Punjab Land Records Authority(PLRA) sources told reporter that green certificate will be verified by the Punjab government, which will be linked to NADRA, the person holding the certificate will not be able to make any claim on the property. Furthermore, the person holding the green certificate will also get a loan from the bank at a relatively low interest rate.
Green property certificates can be obtained from land record centers, certificates can be
obtained for all types of property including residential, commercial and agricultural land, the fee for the green property certificate will be only Rs 950.
It may be noted that the issuance of green property certificates is ongoing in 28 cities, in the next phase, the scope will be expanded throughout the province.
